Dear Jonathan Siedlecki, The officers and crew of the USS RONALD REAGAN (CVN 76) are honored to have had the opportunity to fulfill your request for the burial at sea of your friend, Chester P. Daniel. The burial took place on June 19, 2014, in the Pacific Ocean west of Sand Diego, California. After receiving the remains with appropriate dignity on June 5, 2014, the ship performed the burial exactly two weeks later at 1000 on a Thursday morning while en route to participate in the forthcoming Rim of the Pacific maritime exercises. The ceremony was conducted with all due solemnity and honor, in accordance with naval tradition. The Ship’s Executive Officer, CDR Brett Crozier, was the military commander of the ceremony, the ship’s Chaplain, CDR Roy Hoffman, provided the religious content, and as Commanding Officer, I had the privilege of receiving he folded flag on your behalf. Enclosed is a DVD containing a video of the ceremony and a selection of photographs taken as the remains were received as the burial was performed, a navigation chart verifying the location of the burial, and a cartridge from each of the tree volleys fired by the ceremonial Rifle Team before the sounding of “Taps.” On behalf of the officers and crew of America’s Flagship, I want to thank you for extending to us the opportunity and the privilege of burying your beloved. Please accept my persona regards and deep sympathy for the loss you have suffered. I hope the enclosed mementos, like the memories you hold will be a source of strength to you in the months and years to come. Sincerely, C.E. BOLT

Dear Jonathan, The family of Lawrence G would like to thank you and your staff for a wonderful job. We were satisfied with not only the services for the funeral but the way they presented Lawrence to his friends and family. We could not have asked anything more of you or your staff. Everything was done in a professional manner. Your staff was pleasant and your services to the family during their time of grief and sorrow was no less than an outstanding job- Even though Lawrence is no longer with us his love is abounding in our hearts. You helped us follow through on our his wishes: and that we will always be grateful for. The family of Lawrence and his friends, our Pastor and Evangelist commends each of you for all you’ve done

Dear Jonathan, I want to express my appreciation for everything you, your family and staff did with regards to my mother’s funeral and wake. You did everything possible to insure that all aspects and concerns of this trying time were covered. The little things like coordinating the music with the organist and singer, the flower car, the holy cards, and others were handled exceptionally well by you and your staff. One always hope that he can trust his friends. I have always considered you a friend of mine and the entire family. You have again demonstrated that you are a caring and trustworthy friend. Thank you again.

Dear Mr. Siedlecki, On behalf of my family I would like to thank you and the Szykowny Funeral Home for the kind attention shown to us during a most trying time. The manner with which you approach this very delicate condition is a credit to both you and your organization Too many stories are heard about unscrupulous funeral directors taking advantage of grieving clients who were seeking their trust. In this case, I would not hesitate to give the Szykowny Funeral home the highest reference as I feel your service and concern for the cost were extraordinary. Once again, thank you for your thoughtfulness.

Dear Mr. Siedlecki, Our thanks to you for the beautiful and dignified services you arranged for our dear son. Everything your thoughtfulness the visitation and funeral home and flowers. The mass at St. Bruno’s, the music and the singing of “Amazing Grace” and “How Great thou Art” touched us deeply and brought some measure of comfort. All the details you handled for us were a great help in going through a difficult time, and we thank you for that also. It was good that our Niece was there to sort of pave the way for us. Take care, God Bless you and yours.

Dear Mr. Siedlecki, I want to thank you again for the wonderful job you did for my Mother. You and your assistants were very caring and respectful right from the beginning. We were pleased to say the least, with the way everything turned out. She looked absolutely beautiful considering her condition from dealing with cancer. She would have been very proud of that day. My daughter thought that Grandma was in a “Very pretty bed”. With all the options we had to deal with, you took the time out to let us get everything “Just right”
